A visit to Yangshuo, China would not be complete without a bamboo cruise on the
Li River. Our boat was more modern than we expected. I had visions of men using
bamboo poles to push us down the river as we teetered on a thin hull. Instead,
we boarded a large raft of plastic piping in the shape of bamboo that easily
seated 4 people. The engine started up and put an end to the quiet dawn.

Dear Kellen, this is from Mariette. We had a good trip to Hanoi. The bus took us
to Nanning where we had to wait for the next bus to Pingxian. Late in the
afternoon we arrived in this small town surrounded by mountains. Not many people
speak english there. The next morning we crossed the border and in the afternoon
we arrived in Hanoi. This is a very busy town, many mopeds! too many!We had to
fly back to Hong Kong and from there to London and Amsterdam. So we are now in
Holland, it's very cold at the moment we had some snow and there is a bit of
ice. This morning everything looked white and it was below 0 degrees. We did let
hostelbookers know about your accommodation some time ago and gave them a good
report. How is it in Yangshuo? kind regards from us Gerry and Mariette.
·Dear Morning Breeze Inn staff,
thank you very much for the nice time. We were very pleased to be your guests
from 23rd to 26th July 2007 (room 303). Sadly we don't have a portrait of us in
Yangshuo, so we're sending you one we took in Hong Kong some days ago.
We will certainly suggest your hotel to our friends should they go to Yangshuo.
On our trip through China your hotel was by far the best one.
Keep up the good work!
Best regards,
Kaari
